About Monica

Welcome,
I’m Monica Rengo – a mother to three lively, curious kids who keep me on my toes, and a wife to a supportive, attentive husband. Together, we navigate the joys and challenges of love, life, and parenting in today’s world. With years of experience as a Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery and NICU, I’ve learned invaluable lessons in resilience, vulnerability, and the power of human connection. These experiences, along with the guidance of Ronda Evans, LMFT, and her expertise in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), shape how I work with individuals, couples, and families.
Through my own healing journey, I’ve learned the patterns and generational cycles we repeat are reflections of deeper, unhealed wounds and core beliefs. Unlike some therapeutic models that aim to change behaviors or thought patterns, EFT uses our emotions as a compass, guiding us to the areas that require healing. This process creates lasting change by deepening our understanding of ourselves and our needs. As our perspective shifts, old subconscious patterns dissolve, enabling us to build more peaceful, meaningful connections with ourselves and others.
I believe that each of us have the innate ability to heal and grow. I encourage you to reach out, and together we can create a space that feels safe and comfortable for you. My ideal clients are couples, families, and individuals seeking deeper self-awareness to foster balance and connection.
* I am committed to social justice and I approach each session with cultural humility, welcoming people of all backgrounds -- all races, ethnicities, genders, sexualities, abilities, religions, and diverse relationship structures.
